County Clerk

Thank you, Creek County, for giving me the opportunity to serve as your County Clerk. It is my goal as the County Clerk to provide an exceptional experience for all who visit our office. I am committed to having an excellent working relationship and an open line of communication with all offices within the county. The Creek County Clerk operates under the Oklahoma State Statutes and is the principal record keeper for the county.

The County Clerk is the Register of Deeds for the county and preserves all documents filed in the County Clerk's office. The office maintains an accurate and current record of all legal instruments pertaining to land including deeds, mortgages, plat maps, oil and gas leases, liens, military discharge papers, and numerous miscellaneous documents. The County Clerk serves as Secretary to numerous County Boards, such as Board of County Commissioners, the County Excise/Equalization Board, and Tax Roll Corrections Board. As such, the Clerk is the custodian of all county board records. The County Clerk, or a designated deputy, serves as the Purchasing Agent for the county. The Purchasing Agent handles the paperwork for purchases, rentals, lease-purchase agreements and advertises for sealed bids for the Board of County Commissioners to make sure that public tax dollars are being spent appropriately.

The County Clerk is the encumbering officer for the county working closely with the County Treasurer to provide checks and balances for all offices. The County Clerk oversees payroll, inventory, and assists with the budget for the County. The County Clerk also receives all claims filed against the County.

Again, I thank the citizens of Creek County for allowing me to serve as your County Clerk.
